WPFM Fighters Feature Again In The Latest UK Rankings
MMA Unlimited have released their latest UK Rankings for August 2009 and once again Warrior Promotions Fighter Management clients feature heavily once again.
In the Lightweight rankings Ross Pearson, Andre Winner and Rob Sinclair all feature in the top 10 at third, fourth and seventh place respectively. Pearson and Winner occupy the higher positions after their impressive showings during the ninth season of the UFC’s ‘The Ultimate Fighter’ reality show earlier this year, which saw both men face each other in the final back in June. Whilst Rob Sinclair’s impressive performances over the past year saw him claim seventh place.
In the Welterweight rankings, WPFM’s own UFC Welterweight star, Dan “The Outlaw” Hardy tops the UK rankings after his three UFC wins. Whilst ‘Judo’ Jim Wallhead quite rightfully occupies fifth place due to his dominant domestic performances over the past few years.
Whilst in the Middleweight rankings, the Team England standout Matt ‘12 Gauge’ Thorpe finds himself ranked in eighth place and will no doubt be looking to climb up those rankings if he is victorious this weekend in Holland at the M-1 Challenge show.
Whilst in the Heavyweight division Rob ‘The Bear’ Broughton sits on the top spot after two very impressive wins in Japan and the USA earlier this year and will be looking to make it three straight wins overseas when he fight at M-1 Breakthrough on August 28th in Kansas City, USA.
Although MMA Unlimited do not have rankings in the Bantamweight division, it is fair to say that Europe’s number one Bantamweight fight Paul McVeigh would also be the UK’s number 1. The WPFM fighter will look to break into the big time later this year when he faces two US based fighters.
